Amanda M. (Johnston) Shire, 43, of Knob Noster, MO parted from this world January 19, 2021 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO.

She entered this life on September 3, 1977 in Fort Sill, Lawton, OK, the daughter of retired Army Major Eldon E. "Jack" Johnston and his beloved Lana Joy Johnston of Yuba City, CA. Amanda's journey paused in Knob Noster after 18+ years as a domestic goddess and Air Force spouse.

Amanda was a dedicated mother above all. Her kids were her smile and life blood.

Amanda is survived by her husband Joshua; her father Jack; her sister Kimberly; brothers Donnie and Matthew; daughter Laci; and son Zechariah.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lana, her brother Sean, her daughter Sadie, and her dog Hank.

A private interment will take place in Knob Noster Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Heartland Hospice of Butler, MO, the Children's Heart Foundation, or the American Heart Association and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
