Knob Noster
Ann Clements Morrison (Chenoweth) passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 28, 1941, to William Clements Chenoweth and Ann Karraker Chenoweth in Louisville, Kentucky.
On July 25, 1964, in San Diego, CA, Ann married the love of her life, Ronald Luke Morrison, with whom she shared 58 years of her life. They met while he was in the Navy and stationed in San Diego, CA. Shortly after his time in the Navy, Ann and Ron moved to Mount Pleasant, Iowa where they started their family and Ann dedicated her life to Christ.
Later, they established their lives in Knob Noster, Missouri. In addition to her service to the community and church, Ann was also involved in the family business as the bookkeeper for Morrison's IGA. Ann was known to have started the mothers-day-out program in the community. She was a Sunday school teacher. She hosted many Bible studies in her home. Ann was a prayer warrior who people would turn to for their prayer needs. Many of her family and friends would share that Ann loved sending cards of encouragement and she never missed a birthday or anniversary. She was reluctant to try new technology but once she learned how to text, she would make sure to send a text every night to her family and friends to let them know she was thinking of them and praying for them. Her outside interests included supporting Missouri Right to Life and Catholic Charities.
Something people would not know about Ann is that she became an avid sports fan. While watching a game, she could recite player statistics and loved watching almost any game. She also loved scrapbooking and was always taking pictures.
Ann was a dedicated mother, cherishing her children and grandchildren instilling in them strong Christian values and boundless love. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Luke Morrison, her caring son, Philip Morrison (Debbie), her cherished daughter, Carie Aquino, and her beloved daughter, Catherine Frederick (Jeff). Ann's family was her pride and joy, and she found immense joy in being a grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and delighted in creating lasting memories with each one of them.
In addition to her immediate family, Ann is survived by her siblings, William "Bill" Chenoweth of Lebanon, OR, Charles "Charlie" Chenoweth of San Antonio, TX, and Elizabeth "Liz" Chenoweth of Seattle, Washington.
Ann's life was filled with love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her faith. She was a member of St. Patrick's in Sedalia, Missouri where she found solace and strength.
A visitation will be held at Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO., Friday August 25, 2023 from 6:30-8:30. There will be a Catholic Funeral Mass Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Sedalia MO. A Graveside service will follow the funeral mass at Calvary Cemetery in Sedalia, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Missouri Right to Life or Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO, to support the compassionate care they provided to Ann during her final days.
