Betty Lee Knowles, age 85, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

She was born September 2, 1940, in Kansas City, the daughter of William Lee and Sara Elizabeth (Worts) Decker.

On July 21, 1984, she and Harry Knowles were united in marriage.

Betty is survived by her children, Leigh Ann (Joe) Rogus, Darrell (Betsy) Schupp, and Sheryl Schupp; a stepson, William (Robin) Knowles; and her grandchildren, Alyssa, Blake, Malena, Christopher, John, Sara, and Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Knowles, and her parents, Lee and Sara Decker.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Pleasant Green United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
