Brenda K. "Granny" Canterbury, age 77, of Kingsville MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her home.

Brenda was born December 4, 1945 in Independence MO.

After many years of service Brenda retired from Centerpoint Medical in 2013.

Her favorite place to be was at Lake Pomme De Terre. She loved working in the yard, planting, and maintaining flowers. Her absolute favorite pastime was enjoying the peace of the lake and spending time with family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her son David A Pugh; her parents Harold D Lawton and Edna Shields Lawton; sisters Patricia Jenkins, Dorothy Scovill and Hattie Harris; brothers Bob Lawton, Jack Lawton, Earl Lawton.

Brenda is survived by her daughter Tammy Baggett (Dave) of Independence MO; grandsons Steven Anderson (Ashlee) of Bates City MO, Matt Anderson (Samantha) of Bates City MO. DJ Pugh (Mandy) of Overland Park KS, Cody Pugh of Independence MO, Austin Baggett of Kennedale TX, Kevin Baggett of Olathe KS; granddaughter Terri Edge of Blue Springs MO; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, as well as a caring neighbor and friend. She created many wonderful memories with her family and friends. Her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
