Carol T. Beck, age 74, of Centerview, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Lee's Summit Medical Center.

She was born June 14, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Arthur E. and Lora E. (Buff) Thiessen.

On January 4, 1969, she and David Beck were united in marriage.

Carol was an avid volunteer at the Johnson County Food Center for several years, loved all the people that she worked with and that she met through the center.

Carol also was a very active horse woman, loved her horses as family. She and her daughter, Barb, ran the farm together and enjoyed every moment of it. They showed together for many, many years. She loved all of her four legged fur babies as if they were family.

Carol is survived by her husband David Beck; her son David Beck, Jr. and wife Sherry; her daughter Barbara Myers and partner Larry Wilson; and her grandchildren Tyler Myers, Hunter Beck, and Ryan Beck.

She was preceded in death by her sister Laurie Thiessen; her mother Lora E. (Buff) Thiessen; and her father Arthur E. Thiessen.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021, at the Christ Episcopal Church in Warrensburg. Inurnment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christ Episcopal Church or the Johnson County Food Center and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
