Carol Jean Dennis, age 78, of Warrensburg, passed away after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.

She was born October 21, 1946, in Farmington, MO, the daughter of Leo Robert and Bettye Ilene (Greeson) Penberthy.

On November 25, 1972, she and Davis Lee Dennis were united in marriage in Warrensburg.

Carol is survived by three children, Marla (Jason) Holbert, of Knoxville, TN, Leah Harris, of Warrensburg, and Neely (Gabriel) Blew, of Warrensburg; three sisters, Joyce Edwards, of Republic, MO, Robin Webster, of Holt's Summit, MO, and Christy Hargis, of Harrisburg, MO; ten grandchildren: Hannah Holbert, Conner Wyatt, Jaden Blew, Evan Harris, Mason Wyatt, Tristan Blew, Carson Holbert, Adley Blew, Clifford Adam Harris and Amanda Harris; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Dennis; her parents, Leo and Bettye Penberthy; a sister, Donna Taylor; a grandson, Hayden Holbert; and a son-in-law, Cliff Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Evan Harris, Carson Holbert, Mason Wyatt, Conner Wyatt, Mike Hargis, and Danny Webster.
