Obituary

Charles "Charly" Clifton Baile, age 91, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022.

He was born at home on the family farm with a love of life on February 7, 1930, to Arthur and Vida Baile of Warrensburg, Missouri.

Charly was raised in Warrensburg, graduating from Warrensburg High School in 1947. He attended Central Missouri State University for two years and spent most of his time there playing bridge and cribbage. Following several years as a farmer, restaurateur, and entrepreneur, Charly found his true love in real estate, helping many people find homes in Warrensburg. Continuing in the spirit of entrepreneurship, Charly and Ginger (the love of his life for 69 years) built a strong personal and business partnership. They continued to live on the family farm.

He was a strong community leader actively involved in the Johnson County Republican Party, the Jaycees, the Elks Lodge, and the Masonic Lodge. For 33 years, Charly served on the West Central Electric Board (12 years as Board President). He was first elected in 1978 and re-elected ten times. He also was a member of the NW Electric Power Cooperative Board of Directors and the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives Board where he received the AMEC Distinguished Service Award in 2011. He was appointed to the Missouri Private Industrial Council by Governor Kit Bond.

Charly cherished many wonderful friendships throughout his long, well-lived life.

He is survived by his loving wife Ginger; daughters Tere DeWitt (Gary) and Jobeth Bradbury (Dan); three amazing granddaughters Susan, Sarah, and Beth; and two great-grandchildren.

Charly lived a full, rich life. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Warrensburg, Missouri. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be for the family. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
