Charles Earl Moyer, age 65, of Lone Jack passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021.

He was born March 20, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of John Carl and Myrtle L. (Shuey) Moyer, Sr.

On May 31, 1975 he and Pauline Martel were united in marriage.

Charlie was the owner and operator of Moyer Excavating for over 40 years. He was a very hard worker and took pride in all of his work.  He was an avid pilot and a longtime member of the Mid-Mo Ultralight Club.  He enjoyed flying as much as he could and teaching others how to fly.  Everyone who met Charlie became his friend.  He was always there to lend a hand to anyone.  He was a good provider for his family.  Charlie was a great husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend.  He especially enjoyed the times he was able to spend with his grandkids, whether it was taking them flying, swimming in the pond, or showing them his work at jobsites.

Charlie is survived by his wife Pauline Moyer; his children Kimberly (Justin) Lyons, Kristin (Jason) Hale, and Karissa (Matthew) Denham; his grandchildren Tucker, Cole, and Emma MacWilliam, Cash and Gunner Hale, and Baylee, Isabella, Chase, Ryan, and Owen Denham; his siblings John (Penny) Moyer, Jr., Carolyn (Jack) Wilkinson, Jo Ann (Gene) Collins, Donald (Dale) Moyer, and Richard Moyer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Carol Ann Moyer.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.  Family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. and a celebration service following at 12:30 p.m.
