Charles Wilford Opfer, age 86, of LaMonte passed away Friday January 28, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia, MO.

He was born September 18, 1935, in Shackelford, MO, the son of Herman and Emma (Borchers) Opfer.

On May 3, 1958, he was united in marriage to Edna Reynolds in San Diego, CA.

Charles was a lifetime farmer.

Charles is survived by his children Charles Opfer (Debbie) of LaMonte, MO, Betty Wood of Sedalia, MO, David Opfer (Dana) of Alton, IL, Brenda Opfer of LaMonte, MO, James Opfer of LaMonte, MO, and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Opfer, Daughter Barbara Rhodes, Grandson Jason Dale Opfer, Father Herman A. Opfer and Mother Emma Borchers.

His funeral service will be held at the Methodist Church in LaMonte, MO, on Friday February 4 ^th , 2022, at 11am. The family will receive friends for a Visitation Thursday February 3 ^rd from 6pm to 8pm at Moore Funeral Home in LaMonte. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at the LaMonte Cemetery.
