Obituary

Cherry Blossom Williams, 87, of Warrensburg, MO passed away on July 12th, 2022.

Cherry was born on October 13, 1934 to Noah Willhite and Jennie Pearl Oakley in Fairmount, MO.

Cherry enjoyed a very accomplished life and had an infectious sense of humor.  She was the First woman school bus driver in St, Joseph, MO in a predominately male industry. She competed and won the School Bus rodeo competition in Missouri and placed 3 rd in the national competition later to be recognized as the winner due to someone not scoring the competition fairly. She was a serial entrepreneur who ran successful businesses in several industries including construction, ceramics, crabbing and crafts along with others.  She worked at Nestle when strawberry Quik was developed and worked in home health care in New Mexico.  She loved to travel the world and had many hobbies including water skiing, bowling and making crafts.  She was known as someone who could make the most boring things fun. She was always there for her family and always there for anyone who was in need.  She was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Cherry is survived by her daughter Cindy Liechti (Bob) of Knob Noster, MO; son Craig Conant (Ramona) and another son Chris Williams both of Warrensburg, MO; daughter Coryle Summers (JJ) of Las Cruces, NM; and sister Joy Parker of Savannah, MO; along with ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Cherry is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Williams; parents Noah and Jennie Willhite; granddaughter Rachael Liechti; granddaughter Angel Conant; grandson Jeremiah Liechti; grandson Joseph Liechti.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
