Darin McDavitt Gelbach, born on November 20, 1964, defied all odds and expectations throughout his life. He was born with spina bifida, a condition that limited him physically, but Darin's spirit and resilience shone throughout his life.

On October 6, 2023, we bid farewell to a man who embraced life. Darin had a special place in his heart for his favorite indulgences: Diet Pepsi and his sister's good home cooking, which he savored with an infectious joy that touched everyone around him.

Above all, Darin cherished his family. His love for them was boundless and he cherished every moment spent in their company. He leaves behind a legacy of courage and the power of the human spirit.

Darin is survived by his siblings Andrew Gelbach (Karen), Angela Tesky (Mark), Doug Gelbach (Rhonda), and Harry Gelbach as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nancy J. Anderson (Bill) and Blair R. Gelbach.

Though Darin's physical journey has come to an end, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His enduring spirit and the lessons he taught us will continue to inspire us to face life's challenges with a smile.
