David Glen Hendrix, age 72, of Lee's Summit MO, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at KC Hospice House in Kansas City MO.

He was born August 30, 1951, in Leavenworth, WA, the son of Jesse and Mavis (Nelson) Hendrix.

On June 20, 1992, he and Diane Borgstadt were united in marriage in Raytown MO.

David is survived by his wife, Diane Hendrix; his sons, Preston (Sandy) Hendrix and Ryan (Heather) Borgstadt; his grandchildren, Lauren, Tristen, Riley, Lacey, and Lucas; a great grandson, Grayson; and two brothers, Jess Jr Hendrix and Kenny Hendrix.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mavis Hendrix, and his daughter, Buffy Hendrix.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Kurz officiating. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Preston Hendrix, Travis Sartain, Jason Miller, Art Roesch, Jim Campbell, and Danny Marcum. Frank Roesch will be an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ozarks Kat and K9 Shelter located in Sunrise Beach, MO and left in care of the funeral home.
