David Duncan McBee, age 71, of Warrensburg passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.

He was born July 15, 1949 in Athens, Ohio the son of Frederick David and Mary (Duncan) McBee.

On September 30, 1987 he and Debra Lowery were united in marriage in Hondo, Texas.

David served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 until 1972 during the Vietnam War.

David worked as a manager at Circle K for 5 years in Warrensburg. He later worked as the party place manager at Bilo for 20+ years.

David is survived by his wife, Debra, of Warrensburg; his son Christopher (Lora) Sibley and their children Cayden, John Robert, and Erin Sibley; his son Zachary (Amy) McBee and their two children; a brother, Chuck McBee; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Jane Counts; and a brother Jim McBee.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Missouri Veteran Cemetery in Higginsville with full military honors.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation or Warrensburg Animal Rescue and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
