Debra Sue (Gubbels) Giberson passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her residence in Warrensburg, MO.

Debra was born July 8, 1977 in Osmond, NE to Jerome and JoAnn Gubbels. She attended St. Mary's Catholic school through eighth grade and later graduated from Osmond High School. She graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha, NE, earning her degree as a registered nurse.

Omaha is where she met David Giberson, who became her husband on July 15, 1999. From that union, two sons were born, Daniel and Darin, who were the greatest joys of her life. Her first nursing job was in Colorado Springs, CO. Later, the family moved to Warrensburg, MO where she continued her nursing career.

She enjoyed nature, the outdoors and camping with her boys. She also loved many pet dogs over the years. She had an infectious laugh and was a faithful Husker fan. She was a woman of faith and practiced it in her life daily. She was passionate and loved her family and friends and cared deeply for her medical patients during her nursing career.

She is survived by her spouse; her sons Daniel (Cali) Giberson of Loveland, CO.; Darin Giberson of Warrensburg, MO; her siblings Gracia (Jim) Sandvold of Blair, NE; Loretta (Andy) Frey of Tilden, NE; Matt (Christy) Gubbels of Osmond, NE; Cindy (Travis) Portwood of Bennington, NE; Several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, many aunts and uncles, and some cousins.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren in Warrensburg, MO. A second visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond, NE under the arrangement of Stonacek Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Osmond, NE.
