Dolores Yankee Vogler passed away on April 17, 2026 in Warrensburg, MO. She was 97 years old.

She was born on July 23, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, to Theodore and Verna (DeGraffenreid) Atwell. The family later moved to Knob Noster, MO, and she graduated from Knob Noster High School in 1946. After high school, she attended secretarial school in Kansas City, MO.

Dolores married Buford Forrest Yankee on September 4, 1949. They were married for 43 years. Dolores was a homemaker and assisted Forrest in the family construction business. She was an accomplished seamstress, and in later years enjoyed making quilts for the family.

On January 2, 2000, she married Marvin Vogler, who preceded her in death in 2016.

Dolores is survived by her four children, Allen Yankee, Kathy Hampton (Terry), Susan Welsh (Larry), and Jean Wilson (Jeff). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Melissa Yankee, Emily Smith (Drew), Paul Hampton (Chelsea), Shane Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Kara Wilson, Jackie Wilson, Kelly Snyder (Brian), and Lindsay Verbick; seven great grandchildren, Cole Smith, Braden Smith, Tyler Snyder (Abby), Ryder Verbick, Madeline Hampton; and a great great grandson, Paxton Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Washington Street Church of Christ and left in care of the funeral home.
