Donald Duane Vann, age 63, of Knob Noster, Missouri, passed away on August 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 30, 1961, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Phyllis Wallis and Donald Vann. Donald proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7).

After his military career, he continued his civilian work at Whiteman Air Force Base, where he dedicated many years in aviation maintenance until his retirement.

Donald was a loving husband to Elizabeth for 42 years, and a dedicated father to Nick (Michelle), Jessica (Drew Hinck), and Donald "Buddy." He was also a proud grandfather to three beloved grandchildren, his granddaughters Owen and Elise, and grandson Oliver. He will be remembered for his hard work, tenacity, quick wit, and generosity, his deep love for his family, and his lifelong commitment to service.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; his children and their spouses; his grandchildren; his siblings Julie Vann, Bobby Vann (Beth Ann), Linda Vann-Owens, Kirk "Bo" Earleywine (Robin), and Tara Yarbough (Ethan); his stepsisters Diana Juncker and the late Lisa Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation and service with military honors will be held on September 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to his beloved wife, Elizabeth Vann.
