Donna Kaye Claxton, 81, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away on April 21, 2026 surrounded by family peacefully at home.

Born on May 6, 1944 in Manes, Missouri, she was the child of Don and Verlene Yeager. She grew up in Hartville, Missouri and married Gary Don Claxton in 1965. They raised their three children in Independence, Missouri and retired to their farm in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Donna found joy in gardening, bird watching, cooking, and cross-stitch.

She will be remembered for kindness, resilience, and for her lasting impact on family and friends.

Donna is survived by her husband, Gary Don Claxton, her children Douglas (Kim) Claxton of Olathe, Kansas, Darin (Tammy) Claxton of Warrensburg, Missouri, Dana Claxton of Independence, Missouri. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Aubrey (Nick) Wheeler, Shelby (Dustin) Kenney, Connor Claxton, Taylor Bruce, Cody (Megan) Claxton, and Breeana Claxton, 4 great grandchildren Waylon Kenny, Blakeley Kenney, Iris Wheeler, and Marvin Claxton. She is also survived by her sister, Debra McAlister, her uncle Jack Yeager, and her aunt Betty Austin.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Don and Verlene Yeager, her sister Sally Yeager, and her brother Eugene Yeager.

A private graveside memorial will be held on May 2, 2026 Warrensburg, Missouri.
