Dorothy Irene "Dot" Combs, age 90, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

She was born August 13, 1931, in Warrensburg, the daughter of Cecil and Ruth (Clear) Chamberlain. On July 14, 1972, she and Clifford Combs were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma. Dorothy retired from Burns & McDonnell after 37 years having worked as a bid document controller and head receptionist. She was an active long-time member of Northside Christian Church in Warrensburg and also a very active member of the Valley Homemakers Club. Dorothy was an avid gardener, enjoyed volunteering, and helping others in the community.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and first husband. She is survived by her husband Cliff Combs; her son Doug Woody (Ellen); her grandsons Aaron Woody and Ryan Woody (Melissa); and her great-granddaughters Brooklynn, Ashlynn, Addison, Aubrie, Naomi, and Evelyn.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Pastor Sid Tiller officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home and can be left in care of the funeral home.
