Douglas Eugene Bentley, age 53, of Knob Noster, MO passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Belton, MO.

He was born March 27, 1969 in Warrensburg, MO the son of Efford Eugene Bentley and Betty (Sutton) Brant.

Douglas was a laborer in local 1290.  Douglas loved life, his fiancée Susan, his whole family (especially his boys, momma, dad, brothers, nieces, nephews and grandchildren), friends, and sharing life with them.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle "LowLife," as he called it wind therapy.  He loved the outdoors, nature walking, and watching the critters.  Music to him was therapy to the soul especially when he listened to his favorite band "Danielle Nicole".  Douglas loved going to the race track and race shop during his free time.  During his past time, he would take the dogs (Sammie and Harley Quinn) gravel-roading in the truck.  He enjoyed grilling, porching, and living life at the house.

Doug inspired so many people; his son Colt is literally living life based on what he told him: "Don't sweat the petty stuff and for gosh sake, don't pet the sweaty stuff."

Douglas will be forever missed. Fly high and "We Got This!"

Douglas is survived by his fiancée, Susan Daniels; his sons, Christopher Douglas Bentley and Colt Nicholas Bentley; his parents, Eugene Bentley and Betty Brant; his stepfather, Dave Brant; his grandchildren, Haley Leann Bentley and Gage Christopher Bentley; his brothers, Rick (Crystal) Bentley and Travis Bentley; and his nieces and nephews, Riley Jean Bentley, Joshua Bentley, Zephary Bentley, Cassandra Bentley, Trisha Bentley, and Asseneth Bentley.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
