Duanne Lyle
Pearson
Nov 6, 1941 — May 24, 2025
Duanne Lyle Pearson, age 83, of Centerview, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.
He was born on Thursday, November 6, 1941, in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Algot and Cassandra (Morris) Pearson.
On November 4, 1989, in Ozark, Missouri, Duanne was united in marriage to Rhonda Daugherty. Duanne was an optician for over 50 years and was known to some patients as "Dr. Duanne". Duanne proudly served in the Army National Guard stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. He had a fantastic sense of humor and could tell stories like no one else, and was a very creative person, something that his kids inherited from him. Duanne was an avid lover of trains and was a huge KC Royals and KC Chiefs fan. Watching the games together with Rhonda was something that they both enjoyed.
As a young boy, his first job was delivering newspaper. He especially liked delivering to the Sisters at the convent. In the winter they would have cocoa and fresh hot cinnamon rolls waiting for him. He enjoyed the time he spent as an altar boy and attending mass. In high school he worked as a movie theater usher. Working there afforded him the ability to attend a parochial Catholic high school. Duanne will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Pearson; daughters and son-in-laws Kirsten and Greg Houston of Springfield, Missouri, Jeanine and Darryl Williams of St. James City, Florida; son, Evan Hampton of Carlton, Oregon; daughter Brittney Pearson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; Lauren, Ava, Brendan, Drew, Nevaeh and Ian. He is also survived by several cousins and 6 nieces and nephews.
Duanne was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Daryl Pearson.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County or the Warrensburg Lions Club and may be left in care of the funeral home.
