Edith Marie Gregg, age 93, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO.

Edith was born on February 25, 1930 in Fontana, KS, the daughter of Jesse and Maggie Brown. On March 22, 1944, she was united in marriage with Raymond Lester Gregg.

Edith is survived by her children Linda Stewart (Stanley) of Warrensburg, Alfred Gregg (Robin) of Warrensburg, and Dennis Gregg (Lynette) of Pleasant Hill; her brother James Brown of Versailles; her sister-in-law Cleta Brown of Warrensburg; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild (with 2 on the way); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Julie Gregg; her daughter and son-in-law Edith and Chris Newbound; her sister and brother-in-law Fern and Oscar Hottel; her sister and brother-in-law Donna and Robert Nichol; her brother Harold Brown; and her sister-in-law Penny Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A graveside service will follow at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Three Rivers Hospice or One Community Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home.
