Eric Eugene
Pfeifer
Dec 13, 1989 — Mar 5, 2021
Warrensburg
Eric Eugene Pfeifer, age 31, of Warrensburg, MO, passed away due to complications of Type 1diabetes on Friday, March 5, 2021, at his home.
He was born on December 13, 1989, in Joplin, MO, and lived most of his childhood in Carthage, MO.
Eric had an infectious grin and enjoyed joking around with everyone. He was always ready to talk about his beloved Kansas City sports teams or his pets. However, friends, family and community were the things he valued most. He claimed that family vacations as a child were some of the best times of his life, and as an adult, he began planning his next visit with family as soon as he returned home from seeing them.
Eric is survived by his son Austin; his parents Tom and Kathy Pfeifer; siblings Matt, Nick, Shelly, Cody, and Ashlyn Pfeifer, Derek Sage and Dorsie Schrum; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind Jennifer Ridge and her three daughters and Ashly Sollars-Pfeifer.
Eric was preceded in death by an unborn child.
An evening Memorial Service/Celebration of Eric's Life will be held on Thursday, March 11, in the shelter at Cave Hollow Park in Warrensburg. The Time of Remembering begins at 4:00 with a brief service at 5:00. The family, and all who would like to join them, will be in the park from 3-7pm.
A graveside service with date yet to be determined will be held in Ellis County, KS, where Eric grew up and graduated high school.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Eric Pfeifer Memorial Fund for his son Austin's education. They may be sent to the Gorham State Bank, 408 Main Street, Victoria, KS 67671.
