Ernest Bennett Ferguson, aged 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. Born on April 23, 1939, to Charlie and Lois (Ford) Ferguson in Bernice, LA, Ernest led a life marked by dedication and service.

Ernest, a beloved husband and devoted father, served with honor and distinction in the United States Air Force for 20 years. His commitment to his country, family, and faith defined his character. He always helped others anyway he could and was an avid Motown listener. In his later years at the Missouri Veterans Home he was loved by all and shared his love of music with them.

He is survived by his sons, Ernest Ferguson Jr (Cyndi) from The Villages, FL, Anthony Ferguson from Spring Hill, KS, and his daughter, Angela Ferguson from Princeton, TX. Ernest leaves behind a legacy through his three grandchildren, JoVonna, Michael,
and Tre.

Ernest was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Merle Ferguson, his grandson, Jalen Moore, and his siblings, Charlie, Bennie, James, Eula, Lois, Dorothy, and Sally.

At precisely 9:00am Tuesday January 16, 2024 there will be an Honor Guard inurnment of Ernest Bennett Ferguson at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS
