Eugene Joseph "Jay" Haas, III, age 65, of Raymore, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center after a short battle with glioblastoma.

Jay was born October 16, 1958, in Fort Worth, TX, the son of Eugene Joseph Haas II and Dorothy (Smith) Haas.

On August 26, 1997, Jay and Leslie Fague were united in marriage in Warrensburg.

Jay served in the US Air Force for 34 years. He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. He was a lifetime member of the Freedom of Road Riders (FORR) Local 33 and a member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

Jay was a loving father and husband and leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Leslie Haas, of Raymore; his children, Stephanie N. Haas of Virginia, Elizabeth Barton of Warrensburg, Adrianne Courter of Knob Noster, Stephanie L. (Andy) Brown of Knob Noster, and Drew (Mandy) Barton of Peculiar; his grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, Kyle, Chloe, Reagan, Warren, Sawyer, Sloane, and Finley; and his siblings, Karen (Robert) Willey of Glenrose, TX, and Robert (Florine) Haas of Joshua, TX.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
