Florence Lavinia Bainbridge, affectionately known as Frankie, passed away at the age of 78 on December 18, 2022, at the Western Missouri Medical Center.

Frankie was born March 1, 1944, to Richard "Dick" Bainbridge and Laura Lavinia (Greenwell) Bainbridge in Carrville, County Durham, England.

Frankie proudly served in the Women's Royal Air Force, was a Ministry of Defence civilian, a successful business owner in England, and finally, a traffic clerk for the Johnson County Prosecuting Attorney before her retirement in 2020. Frankie was a current member of the Warrensburg Lions Club.

She was well-traveled and had lived in many different countries before settling in the United States in 2007 to be near her family. Although she was born and lived most of her life in England, she was extremely patriotic about the USA and was proud to learn all she could about it. She took great pleasure in knowing more about the U.S. than the average citizen.

Her passions were her family and close friends, gardening, cooking, knitting, dancing, crosswords, and quizzes. She was strong-willed and not afraid to state her opinion hoping you would engage her in an intellectual conversation. She was a caring and generous person who excelled as a victim advocate and would spend her free time knitting hats to donate to newborns. She left a lasting impression on everyone she ever met and will truly be missed for that reason.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Taylor and her husband Michael; her two grandsons, Josh Taylor and his wife Emily, Zachary Taylor and his wife Melissa; her great-grandson Jackson Taylor; and her niece Sharon (Robson) Dowling.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank Robson.

Visitation will be at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri, on Monday, December 26, 2022, at 2 pm, with the service to follow at 3 pm.
