Obituary

Galen Dean Cobb, 77, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025. He was born on March 13, 1948, in Quincy, Missouri, to Gerald Cobb and Velma (Breshears) Cobb.

On September 12, 1986, Galen married the love of his life, Eunice Marie (Brunkhorst) Cobb, in Warrensburg, MO. Together, they shared a joyful life, full of love, laughter, and a deep commitment to one another and their community. Galen worked for many years at the University of Central Missouri bookstore and was deeply involved, alongside Eunice, with the Warrensburg Lutheran Campus Ministry, where he touched many lives through his kindness and thoughtful spirit.

Galen was a gentle, caring man who cherished his life with Eunice and the beautiful sanctuary they built together on a 40-acre property, a dream Galen lovingly encouraged her to pursue. Their home was filled with joy, especially watching their beloved cats and dogs play in the yard.

Galen also enjoyed returning to Weaubleau, MO, where he found peace visiting his family's homestead and reminiscing about his upbringing.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Eunice, two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg, MO, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Knob Noster Cemetery in Knob Noster, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warrensburg Lutheran Campus Ministry or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Galen will be remembered for his gentle heart, his deep love for Eunice, and the joy he brought to those around him.
