Obituary

Gareth E. Clifton, 21, of Warrensburg, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in Warrensburg, Missouri.

He was the youngest of four, born on August 4, 2004, in Warrensburg, MO to Ricky Clifton and Hester Clifton.

Gareth grew up in Warrensburg and went to school in the Warrensburg district. He was an adventurous soul known for living boldly. He had a magnetic presence, a quick wit, and a unique ability to fill a room with laughter.

Gareth was strong in character with a natural curiosity. He enjoyed fixing and creating things, learning, and sharing his knowledge with others. If he had a question, he would be sure to find the answer. If he had an idea in his mind, he was sure to bring it to life.

Gareth loved to travel, garden, bake, cook, tinker with engines, rescue animals in need, and listen to and make music. He loved the outdoors, breezy sunny days, warm nights with clear skies, and the way heavy winds would cause treetops to sway. More than anything, he loved to spend time with the people he felt close to.

Family and friends will remember Gareth for his humor, his passion, and his heart. He was someone who truly wanted to take care of others. He could tell you a story and make you feel like you were right there with him. Gareth was someone larger than life. Someone that can't be put into words.

He is survived by his father, Ricky Clifton of St. Joseph, Missouri, his mother, Hester Clifton of Warrensburg, Missouri; two sisters, Rhiannon Clifton of Wichita Kansas and Moira Clifton of Warrensburg, Missouri and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many deeply close friends

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Clark Harris, paternal grandparents, Jonetta and Roy Clifton and Brother Renick Clifton
