Gary Wayne Hood, age 67, of Warrensburg passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Western Missouri Medical Center.

Gary was born March 1, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Brammel Gaylord and Althea Marie (Herndon) Hood.  On September 11, 1978 he and Debra Renick were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife Debra, one son, Gary Wayne Hood II (wife Stephanie Ann) of Warrensburg and one daughter Lorie Diane Parham (husband Larry) of Sedalia; three grandchildren Xavier, Logan and Asher; and one sister Peggy Quick of Grandview.  He was preceded in death by his parents as well as six siblings.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.  Services are under the direction of the Campbell-Cast Funeral Home in Holden, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers the family would suggest memorial contributions to the family's choice with checks made payable to Debra Hood.
