Goldie Lorene Wade, age 88, of Warrensburg passed away Tuesday January 18, 2022 at her home.

She was born April 9, 1933 in Hodge, MO, the daughter of James and Roxie (Hostetter) Dunkle.

On March 15, 1952, she and Freddie H. Wade were united in marriage in Waverly, MO.

Goldie is survived by her children Sammy H. Wade (Robin) of Warrensburg, MO, Freddie E. Wade (Melody) of Higginsville, MO, Veda L. Knox (Ronnie) of Warrensburg, MO, Myrna L. Wessler (Bryan) of Warsaw, MO, Erma G. Jack (Larry) of Odessa, MO, and James O. Wade (Wendy) of Odessa, MO; her siblings Melvin Dunkle, Elvy Dunkle, and Myrna Wade; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Freddie H. Wade; father James Arthur Dunkle; mother Roxie Loretta Hostetter; and brothers Albert Dunkle, Alvin Dunkle, Alan Dunkle, Elbert Lee Dunkle, and Eldon Dunkle.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Village Hospice or any other charity of your choosing and can be left in the care of the funeral home.
