Greg Lankard, former 14-year Air Force veteran, died on July 7, 2023, as a result of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lori Lankard; two sons, Daniel (Jessica) and Jesse Lankard; four grandchildren, Harrison, Parker, Katerina, and Niklaus; his parents, Carl and Sylvia Lankard; and his two siblings, John Lankard and Theresa (Aaron) Lankard McKelvey.

As a Benevolence Deacon for Leeton Christian Church, he was passionate in serving those in need which was demonstrated through his active participation in Harvester's food distribution programs and financial support of Show-Me Christian Youth Home.

Alongside his deep love of Lori, his country, and his church, Greg was passionate about reading and vintage car restoration. Greg's restoration skills were self-taught and leveraged his natural mechanical skills. He was a highly respected show judge for and member of the Warrensburg Wheels Car Club and former President of the Ride Thru Time Galaxie Car Club. During his life, he restored many vehicles with a primary focus on '66 Galaxies.

Greg, along with his beloved wife and two Pomeranians, enjoyed traveling, earning the right to say they have visited all states including Alaska and Hawaii.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Missouri Veteran Cemetery in Higginsville with full military honors.

Greg will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
