Harland Edward Tempel, age 75, of Warrensburg, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born October 29, 1948, in Sedalia, the son of Harland A. and Velva F. (Fox) Tempel.

On August 12, 1977, Ed and Marilyn (Cord) Tempel were united in marriage at the First

United Methodist Church in Warrensburg.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Tempel; his devoted sons, Troy (Jessica) Tempel and Danny (Amanda) Tempel; his cherished grandchildren, Ryker Tempel, Tessa Tempel, Ayda Tempel, and Josey Tempel. He is also survived by his brother, Leon (Vicki) Tempel, and his sister, Dianne (Milbert) Hedrick. Ed leaves behind several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, at Players Restaurant and Lounge downstairs.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the Knob Noster Youth Sports Association, as the local school district was dear to Ed's heart. Donations can be entrusted to the care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
