Jackie "Jack" Charles Harvkey was born on June 8th, 1941 and passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his family on July 13th 2026.
Jack was born to Willy Charles Harvkey and Mary Lee (Cockrell) Harvkey in Sikeston, MO.
Jack was joined in marriage to his loving wife of 51 years Diana Harvkey on August 11th, 1974 in Las Vegas, NV.
Jack is preceded in death by: his parents, his siblings Ila Davis and Russel Harvkey, his children Lucinda and Alicia, and grandchild Kacee.
Jack is survived by: his wife, siblings Bessie Graham, Sam Harvkey, Vickie (Paul) Perks, children Kimberly (Larry) Cox, Jeri (Steve) Coston, Jacque (Ron) Merrow, multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Jack proudly served and enjoyed his time in Navy, from 1958-1962 in San Diego, CA. After, he spent many years traveling across the US repairing televisions and being a farm hand, eventually joining the carpenters union and retiring in 2002.
Jack was a man of many talents. After retiring, he spent his time in his shop building extravagant bird houses and bird feeders, with his wife, to sell at craft shows. He was also a great cook- they provided concessions at auctions for 30 years. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his shows like the Price is Right and a good golf game. What Jack enjoyed most was being with family- especially visits from the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jack was not one to know a stranger. He could make anyone feel like family. He was warm, welcoming and always had a smile. There are many people he considered his own children, regardless of relation and welcomed their family and children as well.
Jack is going to be deeply missed and remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Uncle, Friend, and Poppy (grandpa).
