Jacob Alan "Jake" Adair, son of David Alan and Donna Lynn (Clark) Adair was born August 5, 1980 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life suddenly on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home in Osceola, Iowa at 40 years of age.

Jake grew up in Osceola and moved with his family to Alabama where he graduated from Hubbertville High School in Hubbertville, Alabama.   Later his family moved to Knob Noster, Missouri where he lived until four years ago when he returned to Osceola.

Jake worked in carpentry and construction in early years until a car accident in 2000 made him unable to work.     Jake loved the outdoors and anything being outdoors.  He enjoyed mushroom hunting, rock hunting, and hiking.  In his early years he was always on the go, enjoying everything outdoors.  His injury slowed him down and he wasn't able to do as much as he wished, he still got out when he could to mushroom hunt, and really enjoyed when he could share his finds with others.  He still had dreams of hiking the Appalachian Trail and kayaking down the Mississippi. He had a love for animals, especially raccoons, which he raised.  He was known as the "Raccoon Whisperer."   He is loved and will be missed by all.

Those relatives who preceded Jacob  in death his dad, David "Gabby" Adair, brother, Joseph "Toad" Adair, grandparents, Max and Beulah Adair, grandmother, Delores Clark, and aunt, Debbie Clark.

Jacob  leaves to cherish his memory; grandfather, Gerald (Lynette) Clark of Osceola, IA, mother, Donna Lynn Adair of Osceola, IA, brothers, Gabe (Rana) Adair of Urbandale, IA and Josh (Jessica) Adair of Woodland, IA, niece and nephews, Chase, Taylor, Cole, Jaxston, and Landen all of Urbandale, IA, uncle, Denny Adair of Osceola, IA, uncle, Jim (Laurel) Adair of Yuma, AZ, uncle, John (Cindy) Adair of Buckeye, AZ, uncle, Mike (Janet) Adair of Memphis, TN, uncle, Ronnie Adair of Osceola, IA, uncle, Rob (Nila) Clark of Osceola, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Kale Funeral Home, Wednesday May 12, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scotty Stovall of Alabama officiating.
There will be a dinner at Eagles Lodge following the interment.

Family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at Kale Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery
