Janet Lee Blasdell, born on October 10, 1950, in Flint, MI, to Elton Blasdell and Fern Peever, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, surrounded by family.

Janet was a devoted mother who took great joy in gardening, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked hard to raise her family while putting herself through college, achieving her goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor-a profession she was immensely proud of.

Janet is survived by her children: Heather Smith of Warrensburg, MO; Michael Snider of Flint, MI; Eugene Snider of Flint, MI; Joshua Smith of Kansas City, MO; Melissa Smith of Arkansas; Meri Smith of Sedalia, MO; and Adam Smith of Centerview, MO; her grandson Jonathan Smith-Blasdell of Warrensburg, MO;. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, a few great-grandchildren, and her brother Danny Blasdell of Jacksonville, NC.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jackie Blasdell.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO. A visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO.
