Jerry Dale Brown, 81, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Warrensburg.

Jerry was born on June 19, 1945, in Butler, Missouri, the son of Everett Brown and Ruby A. Gregg Brown.

Jerry met the love of his life at the age of seven, when Elizabeth Woodson was just five years old. Their childhood friendship blossomed into a lifelong love story, and they were united in marriage on November 26, 1965, in Fayetteville, Missouri. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and cherished memories.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Brown; one son, Jeral D. Brown of Warrensburg; three grandchildren, Shane Gregory Brown (Kalie) of Springfield, Alexis D. Brown (Cody) of Wichita, Kansas, and Jacob Brown (Shelby) of Springfield; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Ann Brown of Warrensburg.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Brown and Ruby A. Gregg Brown; his second mother, Faye Brown; and seven siblings.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens.

Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to his family and for a love story that began in childhood and endured throughout his life. His memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
