Obituary

As night fell on the evening of Monday, September 10th, 1951, Chicago was a buzz. Word had gotten out (after the ant told the mouse, who told the fox, who told the coyote, who told the bear, who told the eagle) that God had sent down the most Unique Individual. Christened John Warren, he was instantly adored by Edythe & Chester and eternally doted on by his sister Patty. From the start he was a hit with everyone who crossed his path. Known for marching to the beat of his own drum, he endured others with his friendship & gentle ease. Kind, Loving and Joyful the world had never met anyone quite like John Warren, but it's safe to say the world was in desperate need of his Uniqueness.

In the late 50's, the Pieron family migrated to southern Johnson County, to be near their Hamontree, Paulis, & Warren families, ultimately settling in Holden where John graduated with the class of "Vintage '69".

He spent the 70's and most of the 80's being generally chill, connecting with Earth and developing his love for muzzleloading. Then in late '89 he met the love of his life. Dressed for the Halloween party, John was looking for a trick, but once he saw Julia Jean, he knew he'd found a treat. But plot twist, Julia brought more than undying love to the table, with her came the three most adorable boys you ever did see. Six short months later he put a ring on it, and together they raised those adorable boys into the handsome men y'all know now.

Nothing says love and devotion like knowingly agreeing to parent three loud, opinionated boys. He guided his boys with compassion and patience, immeasurably influencing their lives to be better men. He was a consistent soft voice of reason in a family of loud talkers. Proving that being unique is more interesting but most importantly that blood doesn't define family, love defines family.

As night fell on the evening of Friday, April 5th, the world was once again a buzz. Word had gotten out (after the eagle told the bear, who told the coyote, who told the fox, who told the mouse, who told the ant) that God needed his Unique Individual back.

John Warren is survived by his "3 boys" who now have the honor of imparting his memory and uniqueness on the world: Jason Charley, his mind; Joshua McGee, his soul; and Jordan Dean, his heart. But plot twist, his boys brought more than undying love to the table...

With them come the world's best daughter-in-law and son-in-law that God ever created (Abby & Matt) the 7 most precious grandbabies (Wyatte, Ava, Hagen, Paislee, Noah, Shelby Jean, John). Add to that a gaggle of nieces and nephews (both regular & great) and we now have generations of souls touched by our Unique John Warren.
