Joyce Kay Rich, 84, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at her home.

Joyce was born September 20, 1941, in Johnson County, Missouri, to Elbert and Janie (Gowin) Coleman. She was united in marriage to Elmer R. Rich on May 27, 1960, and together they shared more than 65 wonderful years of marriage.

Joyce was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She was deeply loving and devoted to her family. She worked side by side with Elmer on the family farm for over 40 years and was an amazing partner in every sense. Joyce also had a passion for music and played the piano in church for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer Rich; her son, Roger Rich and his wife Gabrielle of Overland Park, Kansas; her brother, Donald Coleman and his wife Edie of Knob Noster; and her three grandsons and their wives, Evan and his wife Sarah, Jared and his wife Lauren, and Fletcher.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Rich, her parents and her three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the service at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens.
