Juanita Cockrum, age 87, of Centerview, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Riverbend Heights Health and Rehab Center in Lexington, Missouri.

She was born on Saturday, December 12, 1987 in Johnson County, Missouri, the daughter of Elijah and Mildred Markham.

Juanita graduated from Knob Noster High School. On April 8, 1955, she and Vernon Cockrum were united in marriage. They purchased a farm in Centerview, Missouri where they raised their sons and daughter. She dedicated her life to the country homestead lifestyle and enjoyed the way of life and taking care of the animals.

Juanita is survived by her son, Michael Cockrum of Raytown, Missouri; her daughter Frances Myers of Richmond, Missouri; five great grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Alan Kim Cockrum.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Gerald Vick officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Centerview Cemetery in Centerview, Missouri with pallbearers being Nick Lytle, Brian Schmidt, Danny Myer, Josh Myer, Erin Myer and Bill Cockrum.
