Julia Jean
Pieron
Sep 25, 1953 — Jun 26, 2021
Warrensburg
In the early morning hours of Friday, September 25, 1953, a storm system had gathered strength over the Rockies before stalking its way across the wheat fields of Central Kansas. There was talk of a tornado touching down, but instead, at 3:45 a.m., God sent down a bouncing baby girl, christened Julia Jean. Immediately Julia Jean was the apple of Glenn & Marietta's eyes, a status she held throughout their lives. From the beginning, she was a force to be reckoned with; self-assured, razor sharp wit, and innately charming, paired with the prettiest face this side of the Mississippi. The world didn't stand a chance.
The middle of five children, Julia carved out her place in the bunch as a level-headed, precocious beauty who knew what she wanted and expected the world to follow suit. Sometime in the late 60s, the McGee Family had finally come to their senses, leaving the Sunflower State for greener pastures on the Show Me side. The family settled north of Warrensburg, where Julia graduated in the class of '71.
She spent the 80s raising the three most adorable boys you ever did see. Then in late '89 she met the love of her life. Dressed for the Halloween party, John was looking for a trick, but once he saw Julia Jean, he knew he'd found a treat. Six short months later and he put a ring on it. Together they raised those adorable boys, into those handsome men y'all now know. Julia Jean spent the rest of her life eternally devoted to her "4 Boys".
Julia didn't simply enter a room, she held court. Magnetized by her presence, all in attendance were drawn to her, called in by her bright, unforgettable smile, as they clambered for an audience. As the consummate social butterfly, she stuck to the cardinal rule in regards to any soiree, "Always leave 'em wanting more by knowing when to exit the party."
True to form, in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 26, 2021, a storm system had again gather strength over the Rockies before making its way across Kansas and her beloved wheat fields, towards the Missouri state line. As the storm passed, so did Julia Jean.
Julia Jean is survived by her "4 Boys" that now have the honor of imparting her memory and wisdom on the world: John Warren, her beloved; Jason Charley, her mind; Joshua McGee, her soul; and Jordan Dean, her heart. Add to that bunch the most amazing son-in-law and daughter-in-law (Matt & Abby) God ever created, the 6 most precious grandbabies (Wyatte, Ava, Hagen, Tayton, Paislee, Noah), 2 sisters, 1 brother, and seriously way too many nieces & nephews (both great & regular) and we now have generations of souls touched by our eternal Julia Jean.
