Karen Mary Mayo, age 70, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born on August 24, 1954, in Bear Creek, Wisconsin, to Francis Jarvais and Mayme (Bassette) Jarvais. She married the love of her life, Daniel Mayo, on October 27, 1972, in Bear Creek, WI.

Karen was a devoted mother to her four children: David Allen Mayo (Stephanie) of Sumner, IA; Matthew Edgar Mayo (Kaylen) of Clinton, MO; Rachel Ina Mayo-Gregg (Jeremy) of Warrensburg, MO; and Jeanie Mang McCoy-Seeder (Michael) of Portland, OR. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren: David, Logan, Katlyn, Ashley, Lily, Thomas, Skyler, Vincent, Dylan, Nhathiya, Tyler, Michael, Derrick, Peightyn, Tashina, Will, Abby, and many great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her cherished sisters: Julie Osmundson (Rick) of Irma, WI; Kathy McNulty (Tom) of Wabeno, WI; and Beth Erickson of Harrisonville, MO. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Daniel Mayo, her parents, and five siblings.

Karen's life was defined by her unwavering faith, selflessness, and boundless love for her family. She was accepting, forgiving, and always placed her family first. She adored her grandchildren, doted on her puppies, and found joy in gardening. An incredible writer with a vivid imagination, Karen inspired those around her with her stories and words. She was a proud and dedicated military wife, faithfully supporting her husband and family through life's challenges.

Above all, Karen's first love was the Lord, and her faith was the guiding light of her life. Her legacy of love, devotion, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
