Kathy "Tiff" Acton, age 68, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully with her devoted daughter by her side on September 1, 2026.

Born in Virginia and raised in the beautiful landscapes of Alaska, Kathy spent much of her adult life making memories in Indiana and Oregon. She was a woman who embraced joy, creativity, and adventure, whether she was getting lost in a good book, writing, tending to her garden, marking her cards at bingo, dancing, or setting sail on a cruise. Kathy had a profound love for her dogs and had an incredibly open heart - for her, friends were simply family she had chosen along the way

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard "Rick" Acton; her cherished daughter, Kara Acton; her parents, and her brother Stephan Seay. Kathy's memory and vibrant spirit will be carried forward by her surviving daughter, Tia Laywell (Christopher Williams) as well as her stepdaughter Melissa Acton.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, April Levassuar (Sid) and Shawn Richardson; her sisters-in-law, Angelia Moore, Amy Moore and Jennifer Acton Dinkins, Lisa Jamison, Linda Pierce and her brothers-in-law, Danny Acton and Gary Acton.

Her legacy of love continues to grow through her 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren as well as her several nieces, nephews, and a wide community of friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date by the family.
