Katie LeEllen Floyd, age 24, of Warrensburg, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Western Missouri Medical Center.

She was born November 7, 1999, in Sedalia, the daughter of Jeremy Floyd and Kelly (DeLapp) Floyd.

Katie had a great love of music. She also loved cats, attending concerts, and being a big sister.

Katie is survived by her parents, Kelly (Chris Eiskina) Floyd and Jeremy (Jamie) Floyd; a brother, Morgan Floyd; a sister, Josie Floyd; her maternal grandparents, Wanda DeLapp and Dennis (Roxanne) DeLapp; her paternal grandmother, Corie (Dick) Suiter; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Albert Floyd.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Roger Brant officiating. In Katie's memory, the family invites visitors to wear a concert tee shirt if they would like.

Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denny DeLapp, Gary Rehkop, John Skjei, Greg Colliver, Chase Simmons, and Brian Hickingbottom.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Katie Floyd memorial fund with checks made payable to Kelly Floyd and left in care of the funeral home.
