Lacinda Gay Peters

Lacinda Gay Peters passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, in Warrensburg, Missouri, with her family by her side.

Lacinda was born June 20, 1963 in Vancouver Washington.

Lacinda was a giver, a loving grandmother, a devoted dog lover, and someone who loved her people fiercely. She had a large personality packed into a small body and was definitely a "no filter" kind of woman. If Lacinda thought it, there was a pretty good chance you were going to hear it-and probably with a little extra emphasis.

She had a way of making herself known wherever she went and leaves behind countless memories, stories, and probably a few opinions that nobody will ever forget. She loved her dogs, loved her family, and loved the people who were lucky enough to be considered "her people."

Lacinda is survived by her daughters, Tamra Shurm (Michael Rowland) of Lumberton, Texas, and Teri Stevenson (Marty) of Warrensburg, Missouri. Grandchildren Jade Shurm and Dillion Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Peters, and John Stephens.

Lacinda lived life in her own way, said what was on her mind, loved big, and never needed a large frame to make a large impression. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A service celebrating Lacinda's life will be held by the family at a later date.
