Laura Ann Shannon, age 54, of Warrensburg, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at her home.

She was born January 20, 1971, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Larry and Virdia (Hill) Stevens.

Laura is survived by her children, Jamal Stevens and Brittany Stevens; her parents, Larry and

Virdia Stevens; her grandchildren, Payton Stevens, Amarah Stevens, and Semajay Stevens; and

her siblings, Esther (Joshua) Bess, Cyrena (Terry) Standifer, and Larry Stevens II (Senora).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Shannon, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon, on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the First

United Methodist Church in Warrensburg. Funeral services will follow at noon with Bishop

Calvin Gould officiating. Interment will follow the service in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens

Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Zion Apostolic Temple and left in care of

Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
