Obituary

Linda Sue "Lyn" (Clear) Kraft passed away Saturday July 5, 2025, at Saint Luke's Hospital surrounded by her beloved family.

Lyn, as she was commonly known, was born October 30, 1946, in Johnson County, Missouri, the daughter of George W. and Etta Mae (Bowman) Clear. She attended school in Knob Noster, Missouri, graduating in 1964. She graduated from Central Christian College of the Bible, Moberly, MO.

After graduation, Lyn moved to Mechanicsburg, Virginia where she taught at a Christian School for six years. She later moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began working for AT&T where she met her husband, Terry Kraft.

Terry and Lyn were married on March 30, 1978, and then moved to Texas where Lyn continued her employment with AT&T until her retirement.

Known for her gentle soul and adventurous heart, Lyn was an avid traveler, going on archaeological digs in Egypt and Mexico.

Her many travels included trips to Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Alaska, and Australia. She enjoyed researching family genealogy, accumulating years of family history.

Lyn lived life to the fullest, making everyday count while she could. She battled through the hard times with faith and determination, and a smile when she could. She enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family and was always taking pictures.

Lyn is survived by her siblings, Larry Clear of Knob Noster, Missouri and Shirley Williams of Moberly, Missouri, a stepdaughter, Keri Karin of Gladstone, Missouri, three step grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, numerous cousins, great-nephews, and a great-great niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, a stepdaughter, and her parents.

A visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Northside Christian Church in Warrensburg, Missouri. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sid Tiller officiating.
