Linda Denise McKinney, age 61, of Sweet Springs, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at her home.

She was born April 12, 1961, in Warrensburg, the daughter of Melvin and Joan (Kinney) Collett. On June 21, 1986, she and John McKinney were united in marriage.

Linda was preceded in death by her infant son Robert E. Lee McKinney and her brother Robert Allen Collett. She is survived by her husband John McKinney and her sons Jesse McKinney and Terral McKinney.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Mt. Zion Church near Dunksburg. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse McKinney, Terral McKinney, Vernon Collett, Robert Bernham, Kennan Hill, and Dennis White. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
