Marie Viola Denny, age 93, of La Monte, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Sylvia G Thompson residence in Sedalia Missouri.

Marie was born on August 27, 1933, in Eastman, Georgia, the daughter of Elous Loeb Harrell and Mae Harrell.

Marie was proceeded in death by her husband, Loren Eugene Denny, her parents, her brother William Harrell, her brother-in-law, Johnny Denny, her sister-in-law, Mary (Fred) Moore, and her brother-in-law, Paul (Margaret) Denny.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Laurence) Muzia, brother-in-law, Daniel (Dee) Denny, uncle by marriage, Henry (Margaret) Rasmussen, as well as step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Marie, having been an Air Force military wife, lived in many areas. Wherever she was, she formed many loving friendships. In her final years at Sylvia G Thompson, she was known by the staff and residents as one of the kindest loving residents. In her last five years she formed special friendships with two of her caregivers, Chris Hathaway and Sally Meyers.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 9:00 AM, on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the chapel room at the Sylvia G Thompson Residence, located at 3333 W 10th St, Sedalia MO 65301.
