Mark Kendall Brown, age 60, of Warrensburg MO, passed away Saturday April 6, 2024 at Western Missouri Medical Center.

Mark was born May 2, 1963 in Anderson, Indiana. The son of Andrew Frederick David Brown and June Helen Merle.

On October 10, 1987, he and Felisa Kaiser were united in marriage.

Mark earned a bachelor's degree in social work at UCM. Mark dedicated himself to the mental health field for 30 plus years, ending up at Compass Health. When Mark stepped away from Compass, he returned once again to UCM to enjoy his love of cooking. Mark went on to work at Sodexo through UCM for about 4 years. Mark was creative and even made his own recipes! Mark's other hobbies included sports; he watched football and baseball, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals. Mark was passionate about many things, like Boy Scouts too. Mark loved camping, and he earned his Eagle Scout, which his son, Zachary, would also go on to earn. With all of this, Mark devoted himself to also being an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was a loving papa to his granddaughter Anastazia.

Mark is preceded in death by his father Andrew Brown. Mark is survived by his wife Felisa Brown; his son and daughter Zachary Brown and Samantha Schultz (Nathan), of Warrensburg MO; his mother June Brown-Mellinger (Thomas), of Warrensburg MO; his brother Aaron Brown (Janet) of Lee's Summit MO; and his granddaughter Anastazia Schultz of Warrensburg MO.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg MO.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Zachary Brown's College Fund and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
