Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Harmon, 75, passed away March 20, 2023, at her home in Centerview, MO.

Kathy was born February 3, 1948, in Warrensburg, MO to Hubert and Mildred (Brooks) Jones. On September 13, 1967, she was united in marriage to Galen Harmon. Kathy loved her husband, girls, grandkids, and animals. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Kathy had a respected career with the Johnson County Sherriff's Department. She started as a dispatcher and worked her way up to an Administrative Assistant to Sherriff Charlie Norman and later Chuck Heiss. Kathy retired as a Sergeant from the department. Kathy also served on the School Board for Crest Ridge R-7 for many years.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 55 years Galen Harmon; her daughters Cassie Harmon of Higginsville, MO, Brooke Hudson (Matt) of Palmyra, MO, Carrie Moore (Jason) of Wentzville, MO; her grandchildren Emerson Boone Moore of Wentzville, MO, Reese Kathleen Hudson of Palmyra, MO, Garrett Gordon McKinnon Moore of Wentzville, MO, Maxwell Edward Hudson of Palmyra, MO; her brother Claude Jones (Dorothy) of Warrensburg, MO; and her niece Linda Kirton of Paris, VA. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held Sunday March, 26, 2023 at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral home in Warrensburg Missouri from 5:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Tients Shippy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warrensburg Animal Shelter and left in the care of the funeral home.
