Melva Laverne Parsons, age 92, of Warrensburg passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Country Club Care Center.

She was born August 15, 1929 the daughter of Richard Clayton and Goldie Mae (Brookshire) Brown.

On May 27, 1955, she and Floyd D. Parsons were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2012.

Laverne is survived by many family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Max Parsons, Eric Cochran, Roy Lee White, Matthew Lynch, Mark Schell, and Charlie Kavanaugh.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Community Christmas Angel Tree Program and can be left in care of the funeral home.
